So what is Bed and Breakfast Co-op? Bed and Breakfast Co-op is a large data base of inns, bed and breakfasts, and especially interesting places to stay. And it's FREE to be listed and to use! It's FREE to the owner to acquire a link to their website in our main data base and on Bed and Breakfast Co-op. Our primary focus is on the user - it is compiled to easily help anyone find an inn, a bed and breakfast, or an interesting place to stay in the United States. (Did I mention that it's FREE!) Most of the inns are non-corporate, privately-owned residences.

My wife Carol and I love to stay in bed and breakfasts. We consider ourselves to be ambassadors for little, privately-owned, out-of-the-way, delightfully American places to visit. Nearly all of the inns listed have some sort of website available for you to see. However, the problem any website has is being found. We want to work or act together with these owners toward a common purpose or end which is to get them noticed. (Did I mention that it's FREE!) The goal for Bed and Breakfast Co-op is to help you find their website.

It is a joint effort because it will take all of us working together to get all of the websites that are available listed on this FREE database. (Did I mention that it's FREE!) If you are an owner and are do not have a link on our website, simply Click HERE, include the requested information (under the heading: "for your free listing. . .) and in a very few days your FREE link will appear in the Bed and Breakfast Co-op directory. If you are not an owner, but have stayed in an inn that is not listed, and know what their website is, you too may Click HERE, include the requested information ("for your free listing. . .) and in a very few days  they will be listed.

It is another goal of Bed and Breakfast Co-op to become the most-used website to find inns, bed and breakfasts, and especially interesting places to stay which in turn will increase the probability of someone finding your site. As you may know, earch engines like Google or Yahoo or MSN pay attention to the number of links other sites have to a particular website! The assumption is that if a lot of websites link to a particular website, it must be important for people to see. This factor increases the "ranking" one of the search engines gives for a particular website. So the more links a website has that are pointing to it, the greater the probability it is that anyone will find them among the billions of web pages on the Internet.

Think of it this way. It is a hot summer afternoon. You've worked hard to get your lawn in shape. Now all you want to do is enjoy the shade your favorite tree provides for your hammock. What provides the shade you seek? A single leaf? No a single leaf, although it will provide some shade, will not give you enough shade. The tree trunk? No the tree trunk, although necessary to hold all of the branches and leaves, will by itself not provide the shade you long for. What makes a shade tree work is all of its components (leaves, branches and tree trunk) being in place.

Bnb and inn owners have worked hard to provide information so you can make a decision about staying with them. But they have a problem ~ getting noticed on the Internet. They are like the single leaf of a shade tree, not too effective without a lot of other leaves just like them. That's where Bed and Breakfast Co-op comes in. We want to be a trunk that will hold a lot of individual branches and leaves together.  We have taken the first step that is required to get bnbs and inns noticed. We have over 9000 links to bnbs and inns in our database currently (that's a lot of leaves!). With the help of the bnbs and inns,  together we can be effective in getting the information you require to you. In the process we will all receive a higher ranking which will also make us more useful to you.
